The Lennon Bermuda Box Set is a celebration of John Lennon's connection with Bermuda that includes a double CD of 34 songs and a fabulous book detailing Lennon's Bermuda journey. Bermuda was the inspiration for John Lennon writing his last two albums. The book contains artwork by celebrated Bermudian artists Graham Foster capturing the essence of Lennon & Bermuda. Yoko Ono contributed a foreword plus hand written lyrics and Bermuda photos of Lennon in Bermuda.

This Lennon Bermuda Box Set was created especially for the Annual Lennon Peace Day Charity Concert, which happened this September in the beautiful Bermuda Botanical Gardens.

This is the 2nd edition Box Set or Double CD and includes additional contributions from Bryan Ferry and Roy Young!

A percentage of the profits are going to charities; The Coalition for The Protection of Children, The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art and the music foundation Ride The Wave. The Bermuda Lennon Project has already raised over $100,000 for these charities.

Judie Tzuke and her daughters Bailey & Tallula have a big connection with Bermuda. It started way back when she met Paul Muggleton. Muggleton is a legend in Bermuda having been part of the first Bermuda rock 'n roll band The Savages back in the 60's. Muggleton later teamed up with Andy Newmark in Bermuda for his second band The Bermuda Jam.

In 1969 Muggleton & Newmark both left Bermuda for different musical journeys that crossed paths over the years! Andy Newmark has played on many of Judie Tzuke's tracks. Newmark also played drums on John Lennon's last record DOUBLE FANTASY for the songs he composed on the island in June & July of 1980.

Fast forward to 2012: Judie, Bailey, Tallula & Paul (pictured below) were invited to be a part of the LENNON BERMUDA album along with many other artists who have a Bermuda connection. Judie chose Lennon's LOVE, Bailey & Tallula, OH MY LOVE and Paul as Horrendous Mendez, GIMME SOME TRUTH.

Paul Muggleton has also produced a number of other tracks for Lennon Bermuda including GIRL by Paul Carrack, COME TOGETHER for John "Rhino" Edwards (ex-bassist for Judie Tzuke and now with Status Quo) and a number of other wonderful Bermuda artists.

Other artists on Lennon Bermuda include: Maxi Priest, Nils Lofgren & Andy Newmark, Heather Nova, Errol Reid, Biggie Irie & many more.

Ben Mark

Anyone who caught Judie on her 2004 and 2007 tours may remember the support act, a guitar slinging young songsmith named Ben Mark, whose first full length album; 'Places We'll Never Go' has been released by Big Moon Records.

Produced with Paul Muggleton and Matt Tait, the album is full of honest and emotional songs, ranging from intimate acoustic renderings to full on band arrangements, with bass and horns supplied by Jamie Sefton.

'THE INDEPENDENT' by Phil Johnson
'Hume creates intimate, yet dramatic music-sort of Erik Satie meets David Sylvian round at Nick Drake's place'

'JAZZ REVIEW' by Glenn Astarita
'Hume's music is subtly powerful and quite vivid, the portraitures she engineers are dark and tender, but quietly penetrating.'

With 'Gravity and Grace' Carolyn Hume continues the direction taken with her previous solo album. Over eight of her compositions, she creates an atmosphere of beautiful darkness, melancholy and abandonment.

With guest musician Oliver Coates on the cello and vocalist Sonja Galsworthy, the three of them guide us through a landscape of infinity, nothingness and contemplation.
